Using Excel is helpful in running a business because it helps you keep track of things and using it for finding your expenses and stuff like that. Changing the values affects the business because by changing one value it changes the other things.
The advantages of creating an automated spreadsheets rather than a hand written one is that when your finding the sum of your numbers easier. The capability to recalculate automatically make an electronic spreadsheet valuable because when you create one by hand, you'll probably have to add everything up yourself, and with the spreadsheet, you can just press the sum button on the home tab and you do less work. And when you change one number by hand, you have to go back and calculate everything again. But with an electronic spreadsheet, you can change the number and it'll fix everything to where you don't have to figure it out yourself.
